Chris Tyson from MrBeast opened up in detail about his transition in an interview on the YouTube channel ‘Banter‘. Chris was there along with friend and fellow MrBeast team member Karl Jacobs. The pair discussed many things with their hosts including Chris’s gender journey.
Chris detailed about how difficult it was for him to come out of the closet. He was raised in a church-going and conservative society, therefore, he said he could not easily express himself.
When the conversation moved towards Chris’s coming out about his HRT, it was said that people on the internet closely followed it. But Chris said the point had come when he was not bothered.
He said, “I’m in my unbothered arc honestly.”
To this, Karl responded jokingly, “This is a fun anime arc.”
Chris went on to detail how it hasn’t been an easy time for him. He said, “I’m learning a lot about myself. Um, a lot of people are forcing me to speedrun learning about myself. I didn’t know how I was gonna have to do it so fast but I knew I was gonna have to do it publicly.”
He also said that he was happy to know that there were people who supported him. He said, “I’ve learned that there’s a lot more supportive people you know in this area and stuff like that.”
Chris also talked about when and how he got to know that he would want to go through HRT. Let us find out more about that.
Chris Tyson received hints as a kid that he wanted to transition
During the conversation, Chris was asked how does one know that they want to transition. Chris replied that, in his case, he knew it when he was a kid. He said, “I mean like it started when I was younger. Um, like as a kid, I just really I’ve always been obsessed with fashion.” Chris further explained how he was kept on being pushed back into the closet. However, he jokingly said that he used to find himself in his sister’s closet.
Informed consent HRT saved my and many others’ lives. The hurdles gnc people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies https://t.co/xvQjjx7cIB

Chris said that many kids try on clothing of other genders and at one point, he thought it was just a kid’s thing. But then he went on to really like wearing his sister’s clothes and even tried makeup and liked putting it on. At about 14, he started making friends who were going through a similar thing and were supportive of him. After a lot of on-and-off about his thoughts, he is now happy with his transition and even said that it saved his life.
