MrBeast has become a victim of the ‘cancel culture’. MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, uploaded a video on YouTube about how he helped 1,000 deaf people to hear again. He helped them by providing them with high-tech hearing aids. The reactions of people who were able to hear again were priceless. Jimmy was even seen crying at some of the reactions. However, some people on social media are not happy with it.
He has been allegedly called “disgusting, demonic, exploitative, and selfish.” People believe he used these 1,000 people’s deafness to his advantage and made a video out of it. Jimmy has received abuse for his video. However, he has also received love from a great section of the fans.
Many fans came out in support of the Youtuber who is famous for his great charity work. Jimmy’s channel is the most-subscribed YouTube channel that is not owned by a brand or a company. Therefore, he earns in big numbers as well. But, he does not shy away from doing charity.
He has a specific organization named Beast Philanthropy which keeps track of his charity work. As of now, they have donated over 6 million pounds of food and catered to over 3,000 individuals.
In his video where he cured 1,000 deaf people, Jimmy was the only MrBeast member appearing. His other team members including Chris Tyson and Karl Jacobs were not present. However, the video was very heartwarming. Apart from the gift of hearing, Jimmy provided people with money. One of them even received tickets to a Taylor Swift concert. However, this is not the only time Jimmy was ‘canceled’.
MrBeast was ‘canceled’ for buying a house for his employees in the same neighborhood
Jimmy has faced being ‘canceled’ again recently. In a report by The New York Post, it was revealed that Jimmy had bought multiple houses in the same neighborhood. It was reported that the 24-year-old Youtuber did so to gift the houses to his family and his employees so that everyone lives nearby.

The idea behind it is to increase productivity while also decreasing commute time. It was also reported that the employees did not necessarily have to live there. However, fans could not see that side of it and thought Jimmy is just exploiting his employees. He was blamed for creating a ‘company town’, The allegations became so far-fetched that he had to tweet about it.
He said, “Only I could get canceled for giving people a place to live with no strings attached.. All these company town tweets make no sense, I was just helping some people.”

Chris also made his views known in a sarcastic manner. He tweeted, “Helping?! That’s it Jimmy. That’s the final straw!! I’m moving out of the neighborhood.”
Chris defended what Jimmy is doing for his employees. Jimmy has also come out in defense of Tyson multiple times. The MrBeast team is a well-knit group and it seems like this gesture from Jimmy will be much appreciated by them.
