Apex Legends is all set to launch its highly-anticipated Harbinger Collection Event for the upcoming Season 18. And it looks loaded with exciting new features and updates. This event will bring in Fuse’s heirloom, and a limited-time mode known as Living Shell Trios.
The Harbinger Collection Event will begin on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Typically, the event updates would go live at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST. The event will need an update to be installed, so it is advised that players make time for that. Respawn Entertainment, the developers of Apex Legends, have already provided full patch notes which details out all the changes and additions players can expect in the forthcoming update.
One of the most interesting highlights of the event will be the introduction of Living Shell Trios in a new limited-time mode. This mode will have a unique ‘target-seeking grenade’ which players can utilize to shoot down to lead an early detonation. This new mode will be accessible to the players throughout the duration of the event.

Similarly, the World’s Edge map which is to date one of the game’s popular maps, is all set to receive an update in the form of a nighttime version. The new nighttime version will be called World’s Edge After Dark. This version features various updates and changes to merge the points of interest, creating a competitive battleground for players to explore and enjoy.
Like with every collection event of Apex Legends, players will be able to earn or purchase new cosmetic items, including legendary and epic skins. On collection of all the items, players will unlock the Fuse’s heirloom, which is a guitar called Razor’s Edge.
Apart from the event content, the update will also introduce several balance updates to the in-game weapons, legends, and maps. Players can expect to see significant changes to various aspects of the game, such as weapon crafting rotation, legend abilities, and bug fixes.
Nerfs and Buffs included in Apex Legends New Event
A part of the update also unveiled that players may probably see buffs and nerfs for some of the game’s most-loved legends, including Horizon, Revenant, and Fuse. For instance, the Nemesis will get a slight nerf to its per-bullet damage output. It will go from 17 to 16. Similarly, the overall ADS recoil is also changing with the update.
As far as legends Revenant and Horizon are concerned, they will also get massive nerfs. On the flip side, Fuse and Rampart will receive slight buffs to their kits. Respawn has also finally fixed some of the rank issues in this update.
Apart from these changes, the update will also have some usual bug fixes as well as quality-of-life updates that will be introduced. However, on thing to note is that unfortunately, Respawn has not addressed the constant crashing issues in this update.
To conclude it it is safe to say that the new Harbinger Collection Event will sure to bring a whole new face to Apex Legends, thanks to the anticipated content and updates. Apex Legends fans can expect to experience the new limited-time mode, enjoy the revamped World’s Edge map, and add unique cosmetic items to their collection.
