CD Projekt Red’s latest and the first expansion to their popular title Cyberpunk 2077 is making sure to keep players busy. Ever since Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty DLC hit the shelves later last month, the gameplay of the original game has significantly improved, thanks to the changes and introduction of new elements, powers, cars, and perk trees added by the update.
While there are a noticeable amount of changes to the game post the update, the developer has made sure to retain certain fan-favorite parts of the game.
Among the retained list of things that remain consistently useful even in the latest update and work in multiple builds is the Double Jump. As the name suggests, it is a unique ability allowing players to perform two jumps instead of just one.
This is especially important for Shinobi Builds since it is fairly easy to get one’s hands on once a player knows where to look.
How to Double Jump in Cyberpunk 2077?
Double Jump is an exclusive ability unique to the “Reinforced Tendons” Legs Cyberware in the game. The Cyberware can be purchased from any Ripperdoc located in Night City for $11,906.
Additionally, the process of obtaining Reinforced Tendons is pretty straightforward.
- Firstly players need to find a Ripperdoc.
- Then they must tell the Ripperdoc that they are in the market to buy a new Cyberware. Consequently, a Cyberware upgrade screen will appear, and players will be able to select new Cyberware to buy.
- Players need to then click on the Legs section at the bottom right corner to open the list of available Legs Cyberware.
- From the list, players must find “Reinforced Tendons” and buy and equip.
That’s all players need to do. Once the above steps are completed the players can double jump to their heart’s content by simply pressing the jumping button (Spacebar) twice. However, players must remember that they can only equip and unequip Cyberware at a Ripperdoc.
Upgrading Double Jump
As mentioned above, the 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty have significantly revamped the way the game functions. After the update, players are advised to pay attention to their Cyberware capacity and how much armor a Cyberware can provide. similarly, whether or not it fits their build.
Cyberware is predominantly divided into five tiers (Tiers 1 to 5) and five sub-tiers (Tiers 1+ to 5+). To reach the max level, i.e., Tier 5+, players will have to upgrade nine times.
Again, players must visit a Ripperdoc to upgrade the Reinforced Tendons. Here’s how the Cyberware can be upgraded:
- Players must visit a Ripperdoc and ask him for upgrades.
- In the Cyberware window, hover over the Cyberware that needs to be upgraded.
- If a specific Cyberware can be upgraded, the UI will indicate it with a yellow UP arrow.
- If the player has the necessary eddies and Tier components, they can hold the E key to upgrade.
Remember that purchasing the Cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077 requires in-game money. This can be earned by doing side gigs, selling unnecessary items and equipment, and performing successful Breach Protocols.
