- With all that hype, there are sure to leaks and rumors about the Rockstar Game and sure enough, one rumor stated that the game will be 750GB in size.
GTA 6 has been a hot topic in the gaming community for a while now. There have been countless leaks and rumors about the various details of the upcoming title ever since the game was initially announced in February 2022. The developers of Rockstar Games after a long wait, finally shared the first-ever GTA 6 trailer on December 4, 2023, which gave some official confirmation to the fans.
However, that did not stop the stream of leaks and rumors. In fact, the GTA 6 trailer 1 itself was leaked prior to the scheduled time, forcing Rockstar to launch it in advance. Amidst so many pieces of information floating on the internet, it becomes overwhelmingly difficult to differentiate between real and fake news.
One such piece of rumor that was doing rounds around September 2023, that is before the GTA 6 trailer had even launched, was regarding the file size of the upcoming game.
GTA 6 size leaked to be 750 GB
In September 2023, there were a number of leaks that pointed out that GTA 6 would come at a price tag of $150. Besides they also said that the development of the game may have cost the company over $2 billion.

Naturally, the news spread like wildfire all over the internet, but there was no definitive proof to support this claim. The leakers also suggested that the game would weigh a whopping 750GB of storage with a 400-hour gameplay. While some sources called those a rumor, some started to assert it as legitimate information.
Nonetheless, there was no solid backing that could support the claim. Closely examining the rumor, there are a couple of reasons why the 750GB claim was nothing more than a rumor.
Will GTA 6 be 750 GB?
The rumors of GTA 6 having a file size of 750GB seem to be absurd and not practical. Firstly, because 750GB is a lot for a game, and that no game in history had such a massive file size, it was likely just a baseless rumor.
There have been titles weighing over 100GB, however, 750GB seemed way unrealistic. Undoubtedly, the community anticipates the next Grand Theft Auto game to be legendary with all the records that it has already started setting. However, it is also important to keep their expectations in check.
Ironically, 750GB would mean that the game would be almost the same as PS5’s internal storage space capacity, which is 800GB. A single game eating up almost the entire space is not feasible. Players are unlikely to spend all their space on a single game, thus if Rockstar Games wants people to buy the title, that much space wouldn’t work.
Thus, the 750GB file size for the GTA 6 claim turns out to be nothing more than an impractical assumption. Hence, the information is likely false. Fans are warned against believing in the rumors and leaks that circulate on the internet unless Rockstar Games officially confirms the details. Based on predictions, GTA 6 can be 150-200 GB.
