GTA 6 has been a major topic for discussion. The developers Rockstar Games announced that they are working on the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto Series back in February 2022. Since then, the fans are waiting for the game to hit the markets.
There was also a data breach which led to around 90 videos being leaked from the game. At first, its authenticity was questioned. Later, the developers confirmed that they suffered a breach and data was compromised and they condemned this action. The videos were released on the GTA Forums page. It could be seen that the game was in its alpha version.
In a CNBC interview, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick in a way hinted at the release of the game in 2025.
The interviewer asked Zelnick about the much-awaited GTA 6. He did not outright say anything or reveal the exact date. Instead, he started talking about how there are a lot of games that are going to release in 2025 making it a big year for them. He said,
“We leave the announcement of our upcoming titles to our labels and we have said that we have a very robust pipeline of titles. We have a great outlook for fiscal ’25 where we have reiterated our belief that we will generate about $8 billion in net bookings. Also, over a billion dollars in adjusted cash flow, so pretty exciting time! We haven’t spoken about a specific release schedule. And we have titles coming in from all of our labels including great releases we hope coming from Zengo.”
This in a way is giving out that the game is gonna come out in the fiscal year 2025 as they have a pipeline of major releases planned.
GTA 6 release date leaks
There have been narratives concerning the Take-Two Interactive Investors Call. They mentioned that they have various initiatives in the works that would be released in Fiscal 2025. As a result, it is reasonable that the release date will fall between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025.

There is also a theory revolving around GTA Online that hints that the game might release in 2024. There is a football team in the Vice City which has “24” written on it. This can be a hint that there’s something going on and GTA 6 might come out in 2024 hopefully.
All of these are still just theories but the interview with Zelnick hints that there is a big announcement in the fiscal year 2025.
