By now, if one were to count the number of times, the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 trailer video has been recreated, the answer would be “countless.” That’s how much Rockstar Games has got its fans obsessed with the 90-second-long clip.
After more than one and a half years of anticipation, when Rockstar Games finally launched the GTA 6 trailer 1 on December 5, 2023, the community went gaga over the first look of the new game. Ever since then, the trailer has seen countless recreations of the original video.
GTA 6 trailer recreations
The video has seen all sorts of recreation ever since its launch more than two months ago. While several fans were busy digging up more details about the game from the trailer such as easter eggs and maps in the background, others decided to play around with the clips.
Several fans have recreated versions of the trailer in different games. Thanks to the leaked GTA 5 source code in late December 2023, users took the code to recreate the GTA 6 trailer in its predecessor’s setting. The viewers were stunned looking at the graphical leak that the upcoming game takes.
Additionally, the video was also recreated in other games such as block games Minecraft and LEGO. Fans painstakingly remade the video scene by scene using blocks.
Interestingly, it wasn’t just fans who were remaking the GTA 6 trailer. Brands too jumped onto the trend, to give the trailer a fun new twist. Hyundai Motorsports Rally Team recreated the GTA 6 trailer giving it a hilarious twist. They used real athletes in GTA 6 scenes, giving it a motorsport touch.
GTA 6 trailer recreated in Miami
While there were countless recreations of the video in different games or different versions, a user took the recreation game to the next level. A Frend YouTuber ‘CYRILmp4’ recreated the video in real-life Miami. GTA 6 is set in Vice City, which is a fictional version of Miami, Florida. Thus the YouTuber decided to remake the video by visiting the real-life locations.

The user shared the video titled “GTA 6 but in REAL LIFE!,” originally in French. The maker along with his friend reportedly roamed around Miami, Florida, and explored various locations spotted in the trailer. They published the video in French, however, it has auto-generated subtitles in English. Additionally, it also uses the same “Love is a Long Road” song by Tom Petty in the background.
It highlights the locations seen in the video along with the exact real-life cinematic shots of the same colored parasols at the beach, the speed boat with a cargo ship in the background, the graffiti walls, as well as the aerial view of the city during the night. It looks as realistic as it could get compared to the record-breaking trailer.
