GTA Online is celebrating the holidays with The Happy Holidays Event. The event is live in GTA Online and it has brought along some interesting events as well as collectibles in the game. Among these one of the most fascinating ones is the Yeti that has been added to the game.
The Yeti has a dedication outfit that is one of the many cosmetics added to GTA Online through the Happy Holidays Event. The event also introduces 25 GTA Online Snowmen that are seen spawned across Los Santos and Blaine County. These snowmen have to be destroyed to unlock The Snowman outfit as well as some in-game cash.
Besides there are other free items like the Snowball Launcher, Candy Cane, and more that can be obtained by just logging into GTA Online. The Happy Holidays Event was introduced in the game as part of the weekly GTA Online update that arrived on December 21, 2023.
Yeti in GTA Online
Similarly, the game introduces a unique Yeti outfit that players can unlock after completing a Yeti Hunt. In a scavenger hunt style, players must first find some clues in a search area to acquire it in GTA. Obtaining all the hints activates a Yeti attack at night. Eventually, players must defeat the mythical beast to unlock the Yeti Outfit.
The quest to discover Yeti also presents in-game cash and some collectibles. Thus it is worth taking up the quest, and players can consider participating in it.
How to get the Yeti outfit in GTA Online?
The Yeti outfit can be unlocked by completing the Yeti Hunt quest. To trigger or initiate the quest, players must first start driving between Fort Zancudo and Paleto Bay. While driving, the players will receive a text from Tanner informing the player about the hunt.
Next, a search area will be marked on the player’s map, and the players must look for five clues inside it. There is no specific order in which players need to find the five clues. The five clues are as follows:
- The Dead Deer
- Human Remains
- The Overturned Car
- The Abandoned Tent
- The Wrecked Car and Bloody Shirt
Once the player has found a clue, they need to simply stand near it and click on the button prompted in the top-left corner of their screen to further investigate it. Pressing the button again stops the search and will register the clue. Notably, Rockstar Games is also awarding $10,000 for every hint a player finds and investigates.
After all clues have been registered, the Yeti will attack the player in the search area between 9 pm and 6 am (in-game time). Players are reminded that it is not easy to defeat the beast in GTA Online and requires a lot of ammunition. Players can make use of explosives to make this task easier.
Once the Yeti has been defeated, players will be rewarded $50,000, and the Yeti Outfit will be unlocked. The outfit can be found in the Outfits: Festive section of the in-game wardrobe.
