MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, has been caught up in some unwanted controversy due to Chris Tyson. MrBeast team member, Chris, announced that he was going through HRT. He made the announcement on April 6, 2023. Since then, controversies have ravaged the MrBeast team. Fans have speculated if Chris got fired, MrBeast allegedly showed discomfort around Chris, Ben Shapiro’s warning and much more.

MrBeast is a YouTube channel owned by Jimmy. It has gained such a huge following that Jimmy himself is now known as MrBeast. The channel, at the time of Chris’ announcement, was the fourth-most subscribed channel on YouTube. It was also the most-subscribed channel not owned by a brand or a company. However, fans have been wondering if the controversies have shown their effect on MrBeast’s subscribers.

Today at 8:10 PM CDT, MrBeast hit 154M subscribers!

We can assure you that it has clearly not. On April 5, 2023, a day before Chris’s announcement, MrBeast had a total of 141 million subscribers. On May 19, 2023, the MrBeast YouTube channel surpassed 154 million subscribers. In one and a half months, the channel has gained around 13 million subscribers. That is a great return. It shows that the controversies did not affect the channel.

On the other hand, none of the controversies have been proven true either. Chris is still a member of the MrBeast team. He even clarified the rumors about him being fired on an AMA, a few weeks ago.

Jimmy looking uncomfortable around Chris is just an allegation with no concrete proof about it. Jimmy has backed and supported his team throughout this difficult time without fail. And Ben Shapiro’s warning that the channel will suffer because of Chris was clearly a failure.

How have MrBeast’s other channels performed since the Chris Tyson controversy?

Jimmy has more than one channel under the name of MrBeast. On all these channels, his core team of Chris, Karl Jacobs, and Chandler Hallow appears. They are a well-knit group and they travel across the world shooting videos.
