This giveaway is a scam that offers users the chance to claim $1000 or, in some other cases, various other amounts by following some steps. The pop-up does not appear on YouTube, however, it appears if you have visited any dubious site.
When users land on the fake giveaway page, they are first informed that they are getting rewarded because they have subscribed to MrBeast’s channel. This pop-up offers the users the chance to claim their reward by clicking on the “Claim Reward” button. After this, they have to follow the instructions as provided and are redirected to a page with software to download.

The users download the software and are asked to enter their PayPal-registered email address. This is where the scam takes place.
