Blizzard Entertainment is the developer and publisher of the 2022 first-person shooter game Overwatch 2. The game aims to be a shared environment for player-versus-player (PvP) scenarios, serving as a sequel and replacement for Overwatch, the 2016 hero shooter.
Players are divided into two teams in this hero shooter game, and they have to choose a “hero” from a roster of thirty-five characters. Characters are divided into three classes: damage, whose members are in charge of attacking efforts; support, which is in charge of healing and boosting; and tank, which are in charge of making room for their squad.
In the past, Overwatch 2 has placed a strong emphasis on cooperative gameplay, as players must combine the abilities of Tank, Damage, and Support heroes to build effective offensives or defensives. While team fighting has always been a major component of Overwatch 2, its development team has proved that it’s not shy of trying out extreme alterations.
Overwatch 2 Season 9 brings changes to Tank and Damage heroes
Blizzard is now implementing an important change that might make the game more individualized as part of its most recent experiment. According to Overwatch 2, every Tank and Damage hero will get a passive self-healing ability in Season 9. The paradigm of Overwatch 2 will probably change significantly as a result of this. The Support class’s passive self-healing ability will be nerfed for Tank and Damage characters in Overwatch 2’s Season 9. According to Blizzard, the goal of this adjustment is to relieve Support players of the burden of tending to every team member while also decreasing the need for non-support players on teammates for healing.

Overwatch 2’s Support and Tank duos may be able to concentrate more on one another due to Season 9’s new self-healing ability, while Damage heroes are allowed a little more flexibility.
