It’s just a matter of time before PAYDAY 3 fans get their hands on their most awaited title. And with developer Starbreeze having announced the early access, the day is closer than you think. Fans will soon get to start heisting all over New York City with PAYDAY 3 release just around the corner.
PAYDAY 3 is the third installment of the successful cooperative first-person shooter video game franchise, PAYDAY. The first two iterations were developed by Sweden’s Overkill Software. However, later in May 2016 Starbreeze Studios announced that PAYDAY 3 was in development at Overkill Software and that they had acquired the rights to the intellectual property from Overkill for around US$30 million. This meant PAYDAY 3 would release under the Starbreeze banner.
After over seven years in development, PAYDAY 3 is all set to officially hit the shelves coming Thursday, September 21, 2023. However, following the modern day trend, developers have decided to launch an early access of the game ahead of the official release.
When does the PAYDAY 3 early access begin?
As announced by Starbreeze a certain section of players will be able to enjoy the game up to three days before the official release. Thus, ‘Play Early,’ as the devs call it would be made available on September 18, 2023. However, the time zones across the world will vary.
Players wanting to get their hands on the game before its full release, have only one way they can do it. The Play Early access is available only for players who have pre-ordered the game’s Silver or Gold editions. Players who have already pre-ordered the basic version of PAYDAY 3 and wish to join the Play Early club can upgrade their edition. This will grand instant access to the title on whichever platform they play the game on.

As mentioned above the Play Early access of PAYDAY 3 has already begun and is currently available. Here is a complete list of the time and date when PAYDAY 3 early access will be available in different regions:
- Los Angeles (PDT) – September 18, 8 AM
- New York (EDT) – September 18, 11 AM
- Sao Paolo (BRT) – September 18, 12 PM
- London (BST) – September 18, 4 PM
- Paris (CEST) – September 18, 5 PM
- Istanbul (TRT) – September 18, 6 PM
- Tokyo (JST) – September 19, 12 AM
- Sydney (AEST) – September 19, 1 AM
- Auckland (NZST) – September 19, 3 AM
Similarly, the full game release on Thursday, September 21, 2023 will also depend on which part of the world players are playing the game from. Players are advised to refer to the PAYDAY 3 official launch map shared by the developers. The game will be released on Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
