Tekken 8 Story Length: How Many Chapters Are in Tekken 8?

Developed by Bandai Namco Studio in collaboration with Arika, Tekken 8 is a fighting game that is all set to launch on January 26. Tekken 8 will be chronologically the eighth game and the tenth in the overall Tekken series. The game will be available for Windows and the next-generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Tekken 8‘s story mode which is titled The Dark Awakens, concentrates on the last encounter between the major characters of the game and takes place six months after the events of its predecessor. Tekken 8’s story mode comes with an impressive list of 32 former and new fighter characters, each with a narrative that will contribute to the overall game story.

Players will take on the role of the famous Tekken fighter Jin Kazama in The Dark Awakens story mode. Jin must face his evil father Kazuya Mishima and defeat him along with fighting the ghosts of his past. Tekken 8 will feature some decent selection of match types and a few great showdowns.

Tekken 8’s Story Mode chapters

Tekken 8 comes with 15 chapters in its story mode which can be completed by the players in a few hours. The difficulty setting of the story mode is not that relevant and does not make much of a change to the players. However, some of the rewards in the story mode are tied to the difficulty setting and therefore players who want to unlock all the rewards should play the game in this setting.

• Chapter 13: Awakening
• Chapter 14: Clash Above the Heavens
• Chapter 15: Strength and Conviction

Only certain story mode chapters in Tekken 8 will earn rewards for the players. Playing the chapters on different difficulty levels will unlock a few more player customization items, with Silver and Gold versions of specific plates, panels, and health gauges tied to the Medium and Hard difficulty modes, respectively.

The main story mode of the game has two different and unique endings depending on whether the players are able to defeat or lose to Kazuya in the final chapter.

Tekken 8 Arcade Quest chapters

Even though it does not have much content, Tekken 8’s Arcade Quest mode is divided into multiple chapters. These chapters follow the same Tekken formula, and fighters must reach a particular rank to win the tournament and then move to the next area.

Tekken 8 will use the Unreal Engine 5 for the first time in its genre. The new engine will enable the game to have improved fighting mechanics and systems compared to its predecessor titles.
