Rockstar Games is celebrating a decade of excellence with the 10th anniversary of one of its most successful games, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 on September 17, 2023. As the game turned ten, the developers are making sure to express their gratitude towards the fans in every way possible.
A few days ago, Rockstar Games posted a thank you message for its fans on their official website. Although it was a simple message of gratitude, the message raised a lot of eyebrows out of suspicion since the message tone apparently hinted at the end of GTA 5.

Meanwhile, the hype and curiosity around the much anticipated GTA 6 continues. The milestone of 10 successful years of GTA 5 and the wait for GTA 6 looked like the perfect chance for some big news, but did that happen?
When did GTA 5 release?
The ground breaking GTA 5 released on September 17, 2023. Following the release of GTA 5, GTA Online was released a fortnight later on October 1, 2023. Therefore, Developer Rockstar Games is celebrating 10 years since the release of GTA 5 and GTA Online on September 17, 2023 and October 1, 2023, respectively.
As part of their 10th anniversary the developers have announced some perks in GTA Online such as a trio of outfits inspired by the three main characters from GTA 5, namely, Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, Franklin Clinton, GTAV-themed weapon finishes, and bonuses on classic modes, gameplay, among others. Plus, the new Bravado Hotring Hellfire hits the asphalt ready for your next high-stakes stock car session.
However, that was not enough for the fans. In fact, it is safe to say fans were not even expecting any rewards or perks at all. All that fans were really bothered about is any form of update regarding the upcoming GTA 6.
Did Rockstar Games reveal GTA 6 on GTA 5’s 10th anniversary?
As the day of the anniversary, that is, September 17, 2023, dawned, fans had their eyes glued on every activity of Rockstar Games on social media. Why? In anticipation of hearing the words “GTA 6” from the mouth of Rockstar. Any post from the developer was highly looked forward to, and deliver they did. Rockstar Games did post on their social media today, but unfortunately to the dismay of fans, it had nothing to do with GTA 6.
Rockstar Games posted another thank you message today, but it did not impress the fans. And naturally, the reply section said it all. “This Isn’t the GTA 6 Announcement” a user named Jack reminded Rockstar.
