The French driver was asked to name the most talented person in Formula 1 apart from himself. To this, Ocon mentioned Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen. The Alpine driver has previously raced with Max and Leclerc in the junior categories.

It is only natural for a lot of people to name these legends for their spectacular performances. Max has been winning back-to-back championships since 2021. He also had a dominant season in 2023 by winning 19 of 22 races.
Charles on the other hand does not have any championship title under his name. However, he has won 5 Grand Prix and keeps the races competitive and interesting with 31 podium finishes. Max, Charles, and Esteban have known each other way before Formula 1, their relationship goes back to the junior racing category.

Esteban Ocon and Max Verstappen go way back before Formula 1. They have raced together since junior racing. However, things haven’t been always smooth between the two drives. Max and Ocon have been involved in a collision during the Brazilian GP.

Esteban, who was on fresher tires, was gaining speed during the final laps of the race. Even though he was 2 laps behind Max, he decided to unlap himself due to the faster pace. However, Ocon was not able to successfully overtake his move, resulting in a crash costing the driver a crucial victory.
An angry Max was later spotted at the paddock pushing and hitting the Alpine driver. The heat between them has died down and Max has been spotted joking about it.
