Leylah Fernandez was born on the 6th of September 2002 in Montreal, Canada. Her father was a professional soccer player from Ecuador. Her mother is a Canadian. She has a younger sister who is also aspiring to be a tennis player just like her sister Leylah.

In the juniors category, the Canadian sensation entered the finals of the Australian Open where she tasted defeat. But the setback only meant a stronger comeback for her. She then took the advantage and won the French Open and became the first Canadian to win this title after 2012.

As the reports say, the Canadian international is not dating anyone. The 19-year-old is mainly focusing on her game and does not want any distraction in her life. Or maybe she is keeping her personal life out of social media. 

 

Professional Career of Leylah Annie Fernandez
