Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton reportedly had a chat on the recent pattern of dominance in Formula 1 as a consequence of Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s ongoing success. The seven-time world champion voiced his disapproval of this inclination despite his longtime position in the sport with Mercedes. Red Bull has amassed 503 points, well exceeding the 247 points assigned to the Mercedes tested by Hamilton and teammate George Russell.
Red Bull has soared to an indisputable pinnacle in the Formula 1 constructors’ rankings over the first half of the season, conquering incredible uses along the way. In a conversation with Channel 4, the Briton said, “We shouldn’t have the chance to dominate for a large number of years, the battle for the top positions should be closer. Unfortunately, however, Red Bull could seriously dominate even in the next three seasons.”

He went on to address the potential for other prominent teams like Ferrari, McLaren, and even Mercedes to challenge other teams by a great deal in the years to come while sustaining the present level of power at the forefront of the sport.
The British driver as well made a bold assumption that Max Verstappen and Red Bull might win the championship for the next three seasons, or even until the major shifts in power unit regulations are slated for 2026.
Fans react to the hypocritical comments by Hamilton
As soon as the details from the interview went viral, fans did not hold back from calling out the Mercedes driver and even termed him to be a ‘hypocrite’.
Given the fact that Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton had a similar streak of dominance in F1 and his self-contradictory comments have made audience and Twitter users call him out. He did try and push FIA to take some administrative action against the rival team, but it was critically dismissed by the president of the regulatory body, Mohammed Ben Sulayem. Not just fans, Hamilton was also criticised by former driver, Juan Pablo Montoya.
What is Lewis Hamilton doing wrong?
The driver’s association with his current team has been referred to as the most prolonged stretch of rule in the history of Formula 1. It is important to keep in mind that Hamilton has amassed an incredible total of seven world titles, equaling one of the greatest names of Formula 1, Michael Schumacher, and created a trail of opponents in the aftermath.

Though Toto Wolff previously stated that the key aspects of the contract were already settled and that both parties are now focusing on the final details, there has as of yet been no official announcement about his contract renewal.
