Max Verstappen posted a picture of his helmet for the 2023 season on his Instagram and the post features EA Sports on its chin to replace the CarNext logo. It means that EA has decided to sponsor the 2X WDC champion from The Netherlands.
“Max is a tenacious competitor and true champion who shares a deep love of games and play,” mentioned Red Bull’s SVP of Brand for EA Sports and Racing, Andrea Hopelain.

“As he races into Formula 1 history, we are excited to collaborate with him as one of the best athletes in the world to bring more fans together through our EA SPORTS experiences.” She added.
Therefore, Fans can hope to have the Dutch Champion on the face of F1 special edition game covers and other EA merchandise.
Max Verstappen’s sponsorships
The Dutch was the highest paid on the grid in 2022, earning $60 Million including base salary and bonuses for winning the WDC and the Constructors’ title. He comes with an array of sponsorships like Red Bull, Dutch chain of Supermarkets Jumbo, TV channel Ziggo, G-Star RAW, CarNext, and Viaplay. He makes about $2 Million from sponsorships according to Forbes.

Which is the second most earned by an F1 driver, just after Lewis Hamilton’s $8 Million. However, it will be interesting for the fans to see how the cost cap regulations affect Red Bull’s performance in the 2023 season.
Sergio Perez also had his helmet released and he looks to compete again in 2023 alongside the Dutchman. The Mexican ‘Minister of Defence’ also allegedly faces a threat from an ex-Red Bull driver coming in from McLaren, Daniel Ricciardo even though he played a pivotal role in Max Verstappen’s victories in the last 2 seasons. Perez won the coveted Monaco GP in 2022 and he performed especially well on street circuits attributing him to compete for second place in the WDC standings.

Perez’s 2022 season was crucial for Red Bull to win the Constructor’s Championship too. Although, he lost the race to 2nd place to Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in the last race and ended up 3rd in the WDC. He looks forward to the next season to compete for the title.
Max Verstappen looks forwards to the 2023 season again and hopes to contend for the title alongside Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton. His father Jos Verstappen has expressed that he fears that this season is going to be tougher for the Dutchman attributing to the tough competition he is going to face.
