AlphaTauri has had some bad luck this season even after having changed their drivers. The sister team of Red Bull is witnessed struggling throughout the season while Red Bull stays at the top. The team started with two rookies this season. Yuki Tsunoda, the Japanese driver who has been with the team for three seasons, and Nyck de Vries. But even after replacing rookie de Vries, the team continues to struggle to make progress.
Nonetheless, for AlphaTauri, the team now has received news worse than their results. The team has won only three points this season. However, with Daniel Ricciardo‘s recent wrist injury, they will now be welcoming their fourth driver this season to drive their AlphaTauri car. This, on the contrary, means that the team has only earned 3 points even after having four drivers in one season alone.
When Lawson drives tomorrow, AlphaTauri will have had more drivers (4) than points (3) in 2023.

The AlphaTauri team has been following behind for most of the season. So far, only one of their drivers has been capable of driving the car into points. Even after replacing Nyck de Vries, the team has made no progress. Ricciardo’s return which guaranteed the team results has flunked over again. However, for the team, there is still hope for them to win a few more points with ten races left for the season.
AlphaTauri stats for 2023
So far into the season, Yuki Tsunoda has been the only one to bring in better results for the team. With his exceptional performance with a non-competitive car, he has secured a fourth season with the team.

The Japanese driver has finished in front of both Daniel Ricciardo and Nyck de Vries 9 times collectively. de Vries has finished ahead twice and Ricciardo just once. AlphaTauri saw the same results with qualifications too. Yuki Tsunoda has been the only one throughout the season, who has brought in points for the team. He has finished inside the points three times, each being a P10.
This total was their three points of the season. Compared to Tsunoda’s 10th place, Ricciardo’s best position is 13th spot and de Vries has a personal best of 12th. The same applies to their grid positions too unlike Yuki who has an 8th position as his personal best grid position.
