SUMMARY
- Christian Horner was cleared of all the charges on Wednesday.
- The journalists are yet to reveal the authencity of this mysterious e-mail.
The Bahrain Grand Prix is underway, with Max Verstappen struggling to battle against the likes of Ferrari and Mercedes. However, shockingly enough, this story has completely dwindled into thin air while Christian Horner has reemerged as the hot topic of Formula 1. The British team principal was previously accused of sending rather derogatory messages and pictures to an unnamed employee of Red Bull Racing.
Sounds serious, doesn’t it? Well, Red Bull launched an investigation into this huge case, and several reports even predicted Horner’s immediate termination from the Milton Keynes outfit. However, a twist in the plot then emerged out of nowhere, in favor of Horner.
Earlier this week, Red Bull Racing publicly revealed that Horner was free of all the charges and would therefore continue as the team principal and CEO of the reigning world champion outfit. This paved Horner the way for a peaceful weekend at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Unfortunately for Horner, the Briton has encountered yet another roadblock.

Halfway through the second practice session, numerous journalists swarmed to social media with a shocking claim. While it started with the AP sports reporter, Jenna Fryer, several others echoed her claim. She wrote, “A Google drive containing all the “Christian Horner evidence” has just been emailed from an anonymous account to hundreds of journalists.” But, little did we know, the worst was yet to come.
How F1 journalists have reacted to the big Christian Horner claim
Renowned Brazilian F1 journalist, Julianne Cerasoli, took to social media to reveal that even she had received the mysterious e-mail from an anonymous user. “An email arrived in my inbox with what would be the evidence against Horner. Whoever sent it, included all the “big” people in the sport, all the bosses included, and sent it in a way that makes it visible who received it. You can’t know if the material is real,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Joe Saward wrote, “Well, we have full meltdown…. The F1 world has just been sent half the story. If the WHOLE story comes out it is going to be really ugly…”
“Holy Virgin. They report from the paddock that an anonymous account has just sent an email to the press, Liberty Media and Domenicali. Subject: “Christian Horner evidence.” WhatsApp messages, photos and more,” Victor Abad wrote.
Overall, several journalists are still coming forward to admit that they’ve received the information. And interestingly enough, the list also features Stefano Domenicali, the FIA, and several other massive personalities. But, how is this all going to end?
