Jules Bianchi was one of the beloved drivers of Formula 1. He had started his career in Formula 1 as a test driver for Ferrari and Sahara India. Bianchi was in the Ferrari Driver Academy alongside Sergio Perez. In 2013, the Marussia Formula 1 team announced that Jules Bianchi was going to be driving for them.
While driving for Marussia, he struggled quite a bit until he scored himself and his team his first points in the race. He had finished 9th in the race.
When Fernando Alonso announced his leave from Ferrari, Bianchi announced that he was “ready” to drive the Ferrari car. But during the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka. Jules Bianchi had met with a horrible accident. He was on the 43rd lap of the race when he lost control of his car.
Because of this, he drove into the run-off area and crashed into the tractor crane. Due to the crash, his car was completely damaged from the left side and the roll bar had slid under the tractor crane.
The impact was so harsh that the crane had lifted from the ground and the jolt caused the crane to drop the Sauber in the air, onto the ground. Bianchi had been rushed to the hospital and it was soon declared that he had suffered from “heavy head injuries”. He had been in the hospital for a while until he had been removed from an artificial coma and was able to breathe without support again.
