SUMMARY
- Bernie Ecclestone is not a fan of Guenther Steiner's work at Haas despite immense fan support
- The former F1 owner blames Drive to Survive for overshadowing Steiner's underwhelming stint at Haas
Guenther Steiner has been the star of the media since last week. Now his name makes headlines once again as Bernie Eccleston gives his thoughts on the former team principal’s performance with Haas in the last 10 years and they were anything but positive.
Until now, Guenther Steiner has made headlines for his wits but this past week, the many faults and flaws in the team boss have resurfaced and become the reason for his exit. However, while the Italian tries to accept his fate and move on from the heart-breaking news, it seems that many are not ready to let him forget his performance at Haas.
Although he brought the team popularity with his book and a show in the works based on him, it all went down the drain for him with no sight of a contract renewal. Nonetheless, Gene Haas watched his works and was not impressed with Haas dropping to the very last place.
Bernie Ecclestone quashes Steiner with one comment
The former Haas team principal faced the biggest blow this season after watching everything fall apart for him. With no way of making a comeback in 2024 and a 10th position for Haas in the Constructors Championship, it looks like all the paths for him have closed down.
Although many are upset to see him leave F1 for good, his performance with the team has called for some necessary actions in recent years. Even with Ferrari on their side, Haas saw absolutely no change in their competition with teams like AlphaTauri and Alfa Romeo, especially considering the way Ferrari has managed to bring pole positions for themselves throughout the season.
Haas has also found itself at the bad end of the stick after the infamous Romain Grosjean accident that left every single heart pounding and a wild Mick Schumacher who wasn’t capable enough to drive an incompetent car. Nonetheless, all these performances have added themselves under Steiner’s name because of his poor surveillance of the clown fest they put up.
Bernie Ecclestone lashes out at Haas and Guenther Steiner:
“There has never been such a failed team boss who has become a superstar thanks to an American series.”

Nonetheless, Bernie Ecclestone has now taken some time out of fighting Felipe Massa endlessly to comment on Steiner’s incompetence. He said, “There has never been such a failed team boss who has become a superstar thanks to an American series. In my time, when only performance counted, that never happened.”
However, with his exit, the newcomer, Ayao Komatsu will be taking over managing the team and strategies while giving Gene Haas hopes of Haas ever moving ahead from a P10.
Guenther Steiner boards the ‘reality star’ bus
Although the Italian’s performance has become a mess to unpack, it cannot speak volumes about his capabilities to become an actor or a reality star. The doors of Formula 1 closed on Steiner’s face before he could even step foot in the paddock for 2024, but not all seemed to be lost for him.
After his wits and comical timing made a huge impact in the F1 community, thanks to Drive to Survive, he attracted CBS director, Mark Cendrowski like a moth to flame with wanting to make another hit reality show on the team boss and his antics which would in no time collect views to watch Steiner lose his cool every two seconds.
🚨 | Guenther Steiner will reportedly be the “non-writing executive producer” of a TV series.

Although that door closed in his face, it cannot be completely undone since Hollywood has great sets and scripts right? Well, that’s an opportunity that looms around the former team principal as he faces the consequences of his poor performance in F1.
