The 2024 calendar for the races is out and there seems to have been a few changes to them. The Formula 1 race calendar is always the most anticipated for the fans. And the 2024 season may have a bit of a change for their races. The Formula 1 season has always seen a very similar kind of calendar until this season when we saw Sprint races suddenly added to the schedules.
The next year we might be seeing some more differences. For starters, we have always had the Japan circuit last into the season. But in 2024 Japan will be added at the beginning of the season. With the Formula 1 races starting at the end of February, this will be the longest season ever with it ending in December.

The Japan circuit will be followed by China Grand Prix which will be added back after being canceled in 2023. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has been moved to the end of the season.
But that is not all, the 2024 season will have a few Saturday races ending the Sunday race “ritual”. The Formula 1 calendar has always seen the races on Sundays which made the “perfect” Race weekends. But as Ramadhan will be celebrated, the races have been preponed. Three of the races on the calendar will be on Saturday instead of Sunday.
Fans react to the new 2024 race schedule
With the new changes in the calendar come a few unpleased reactions. When the calendar had been posted, people liked the new updates. And we’re also liking the fall break in September and October. But as fans found out that a few races were going to be on Saturdays.
One of the fans said, “I don’t agree with racing on Saturday to fit in with religious beliefs. If they don’t want to race on Sunday don’t apply to hold a race. Why should Formula 1 have to change a tradition that’s held since the beginning?”

While another fan added, “Don’t agree 100% with the Saturday races, but at least there is an effort to schedule races regionally”

While other fans talk about how the “sustainability” plan may not work if Miami and Canada’s races are standing alone. One fan said, “Flip Canada and Imola, and the carbon footprint drops further”

And Another one said, “If Canada and Miami are still stand-alone races I don’t want to hear a single peep about sustainability”

While fans are upset with the new changes, we can only look forward to the season. The 2024 season will have a different schedule and will have almost a month’s break in September/October.
