Formula 1 has become a famous sport. As it only grows more and more with its viewership and popularity, more teams have bid to join the sport as a team. From Audi to many others, teams have asked to be part of the sport because of the immense amount of exposure and image that it creates for a car company on the market. So it was no different for a New Zealand-based team that bid to be a part of the huge fortune sport.
A New Zealand-based team which is owned by Carlin presented a bid to be a part of the Formula 1 season. However, FIA was not convinced with their proposal. The New Zealand team proposed to be a part of a team in F1. They also stated that they have a reserved seat already for Jamie Chadwick. Chadwick is a female F1 driver, however, she has not had much luck in the sport when it comes to achieving a few points.

The team was quickly declined their proposal to be a part of the team. FIA also confirmed that the only other successful entry in the sport can be made by Andretti. Although a female F1 driver would be a great way to show inclusivity, FIA seems to disagree with the plans. Nonetheless, the team seems to have been turned down with no further prepositions to bid.
Jessica Hawkins makes Formula 1 test debut amidst Jamie Chadwick being denied entry
Jessica Hawkins is the driver ambassador of Aston Martin. And last weekend the F1 driver got the opportunity of her life. Hawkins was called in to test drive the AMR21 in Budapest. She would be the first female Formula 1 driver to test drive for a team after Suzie Wolff at Williams in 2014. Jessica also spoke on her drive to Budapest saying, “I want to inspire women and let them know, they should follow their dreams no matter what it is.”
However, fans had a completely different reaction to the news. While many fans were excited to see a female driver making a debut. However, many fans trolled Lance’s stroll after her test drive. People commented saying she was probably faster than the F1 driver.
One fan said, “Was she faster than Stroll? If so, put her behind the wheel of the AM at a race.”
