Helmut Marko has yet more upsetting news related to Daniel Ricciardo’s injury. The driver was out on the tracks during Free Practice when he collided with a wall. Daniel Ricciardo failed to see Piastri already into the wall.
Before he could hit the Aussi driver, he crashed himself into the wall, leaving him with a broken wrist. After rocking a cast on his arm at the paddock the very next day, it was clear that the Australian would not be driving at the Dutch Grand Prix. However, all hopes were not ended.
It was soon revealed that Ricciardo would undergo surgery. And while all the drivers prepared to line up at the Zandvoort race track, Ricciardo successfully had surgery. However, this puts him in a tough position to drive again until his wrist has healed.
Helmut Marko first revealed that the Australian’s return for the next two races is quite difficult. After which it was confirmed that Liam Lawson will continue to drive for the AlphaTauri team. However, now the Red Bull boss has confirmed his absence for the next few races.

Although AlphaTauri has Liam Lawson for the rest of the season, fans were excited to see Ricciardo back on the tracks. After spending almost half the season as Red Bull’s reserve driver, the Australian was ready to walk out of the bleachers. He returned after replacing Nyck de Vries and was welcomed into the team. However, he has not been able to score any points until now.
Daniel Ricciardo might not return even after the Singapore GP
Helmut Marko has handled all the press statements for the Australian ever since his surgery. While he takes time to heal and get better as soon as possible, Marko has given clear statements on his return. According to Horner, as a Formula 1 driver, he would heal faster from the broken wrist. However, it does not seem to be the case any longer.
When talking to Racing News 365, Helmut Marko said, “In the very best case, the first race which he will be back is Singapore, however, this is physically one of the most extreme circuits.”
“[He] is unlikely [to return there] and the same is actually true of Suzuka.”

Although the bosses have been keeping updates on the Australian, they cannot be sure about fans getting to see the Australian again. However, it is unlikely to hope for his return to Singapore or Japan. As the driver spends time healing, there is a possibility his return to complicated tracks may be out of the question.
The Red Bull bosses have prioritized Ricciardo getting better. Nonetheless, they have their rookie, Liam Lawson. The Super Formula star earned a P13 and finished in front of Tsunoda in his first F1 race.
