While only a handful of the drivers on the grid are men with families and children, Red Bull driver Sergio Perez tops the list as he has had three children until recently. Although working to keep his personal life lowkey, Perez’s family issues reached the media like none other. But that happened only after his teammate, Max Verstappen’s mother Sophie Kumpen accused him of infidelity which caused a lot of drama within the Austrian team.
The driver hailing from Guadalajara, Mexico has three beautiful children named Sergio Perez Jr. (5), Carlota Perez Martinez (4), and Emilio (1) with wide Carola Martinez. However, Martinez’s occupation is unknown but as per reports, she has recently given birth to a charming daughter just days ago. Perez shared this news recently with the reporters, confirming the health of the child and the mother being sound and intact.

This new addition to the family comes with added pressure to deliver better performance and possibly extend his contract with Red Bull. Nevertheless, the very controversial advisor of the team, Helmut Marko managed to blame him once again. According to him, Sergio had “other interests” when Carola announced her fourth pregnancy. But, this was not the only time Marko accused Perez of poor performance and it went off to an extent that these comments turned xenophobic.
When did Sergio Perez get married to wife Carola Martinez?
The Mexican driver exchanged vows of matrimony with his now wife, Carola on 3 June 2018. The ceremony took place within the picturesque setting of Guadalajara, which is the native town of Sergio Perez. Interestingly, his wife also belongs to this vibrant city. Perez and Carola, who committed to their marriage and promised to stick together through thick and thin, received Pope Francis’ cherished blessings.
There is no better example for my family and our families than the one that come from the women’s who do their best everyday to make this world a better place. #internationalwomensday

There is little to no information on Carola but she holds an admirable social media presence and is a full-time homemaker. Martinez is said to have a net worth of $150,000, which is a tribute to her own achievements as compared to her dedicated husband, Sergio. The media was primarily kept out of their life, but in 2017, when the driver happily announced approaching fatherhood ahead of their marriage, the veil of solitude began to drift off.
Carola serves as Sergio Perez’s unwavering rock of stability and offers her unflinching support at every step of his racing career as he continues to create headlines in and around the grid. As the Mexican has had a disappointing year in 2023 with the fear of being replaced in the Red Bull team, he still maintains to be a good father and husband to his family as he dedicates all of his off-track time with them.
