While he did spend a lot of time with Ferrari to develop the car, he also made sure to spend time with his wife. Sometimes, he even brought Corinna to Maranello for support. Corinna once gave some insight as to what it was like.

Being married to a World Champion comes with its own challenges. While the glory years are pleasurable, it takes a lot of time and effort to get there. As depicted in Schumacher’s Netflix documentary, the German driver used to spend days in the factory trying to help the team as they developed the car.
There used to be times when he used to take a spanner and do the work of a mechanic to speed up certain processes. Michael was relentless in his need to win races and Championships. FInsihing 2nd was not good enough for him. He needed to get the race win and the Championship.

After his skiing accident in 2013, Schumacher was put into a coma to save what was left of his brain. Due to the severity of the head injury that was sustained in the accident, Schumacher remained in a coma for almost a year.
However, after 250 days, he did wake up. Although the 7-time Champion was conscious, it was said that he was not the same person. In the Schumacher documentary, Corinna says that Michael is there, but not there. While he is aware of what is happening around him, he is not able to respond like how he used to.

Since his accident, the public has not seen Schumacher. The media get updates on his condition from those who are allowed to visit him. This is limited to Corinna, their children, and certain close friends. Corinna Schumacher remains married to the 7-time Champion. She continues to take care of him through this difficult time.
Michael and Corinna’s son, Mick Schumacher made his way to Formula 1 in 2021. However, he was let go by the Haas F1 team after the 2022 season. But the young German has not given up on his F1 seat as he continues to fight to get back to F1 racing. Although we cannot see Michael Schumacher witnessing F1 again, we can take solace in the fact that Michael has seen his son racing in F1 behind closed doors.
