Every Formula 1 driver is well aware of the dangers that they make themselves known to. The drivers are drenched in safety gear to protect them from any collisions as they soar at 220 MPH. Each one of them has a lot to risk and yet they agree to the risks in order to follow their passion. And for Charles Leclerc, it’s no different. The Ferrari can be constantly seen challenging his car’s limits. The Monegasque has also been able to challenge both the Red Bull drivers with his Ferrari, at least on days their strategy doesn’t fail.
However, with these dangers, any family would be concerned for their children’s safety in the car. The drivers all go at a high speed and sometimes this can cause one to lose control of the car because of a few situations or crash into each other. Nonetheless, it is a very terrifying situation to experience. It’s not too long ago we experienced the loss of a Formula 4 driver, Dan van’ t Hoff.

When talking to Sky Sports Italy, Charles Leclerc said, “I won’t tell her I will be careful because that would be a lie. In any case, I will do my best. You know: it’s a dangerous sport. Over the years it has become much safer, but it will always be an activity where there are risks, but she knows I am the happiest man in the world when I am in the car”,
However, for Leclerc, it seems he won’t be stopping anytime soon. The driver has other interesting things apart from racing that he enjoys, but racing is all that matters to him. And while he has no plans of stopping anytime soon, it seems the mother’s concerns are only gonna grow.
Jules Bianchi’s death leaves mother sleepless over Charles Leclerc
But with the recent events, it is important to note why the Monegasque’s mother, Pascale Leclerc has sleepless nights. It is no doubt a very proud moment for the Leclercs to look at their son standing on the podium. However, the family has experienced the loss of their close ones before too. And it was all because of this sport. Jules Bianchi was one of the closest to the family. He was friends with Leclerc’s elder brother and would go on to be a mentor to Charles.
However, back then the Ferrari Academy had just formed. Being the first driver to be officially signed to them he was prepared to drive in a Ferrari. However, it would all go in vain after the crash that killed him. Back then, F1 cars did not have halos that protected the drivers, but after his passing, it was made mandatory to have halos in the car.
This tragic incident, however, left the mother worried about her son. Leclerc further added, “My mother is very worried. I don’t know what to say to her, apart from the fact that I love my job. There is nothing in particular that I can add to make her feel better”,
Nonetheless, the Monegasque has no plans of retiring any time soon. Leclerc has formed a huge fan base in the sport for his driving and his charms. As he stays with Ferrari for a long period of time, the driver wants to bring change to the team. With no plans of “goodbye”, the Ferrari driver looks forward to more challenges and wins.
