With Formula 1’s grid being confirmed for the 2024 season, Nico Hulkenberg seems to be the only driver who has yet another team interested in having him drive in 2025. While the German has had some great moments in F1 in the past, it seems that things are finally turning around for him for the better.
After Mick Schumacher‘s exit from Haas in 2023 and Nico Hulkenberg joining Haas for this season, it seems that the team has been happier with their results this season. Although they mount at the very end of the Constructors Championship list with an even less competitive car, Haas is satisfied with having a driver who drives more than he crashes.
However, considering Hulkenberg’s past performance in F1 and his season with Haas, the German has shown a great deal of consistency and promise to bring the team quality performance and deliver a good finish to the season. Nonetheless, with yet another team showing interest in the driver, it seems that things could change for the better for the promising driver.
Nico Hulkenberg shows mutual interest in Sauber for 2025
As the 2025 season gets closer and many drivers are unsure of their future in the sport, Sauber has shown interest in a promising driver after his quality and consistent performance throughout the season. With a great season in 2023, and Hulkenberg finishing his way to the front of the grid during free practice quite a few times, it is only fair he has more options knocking on his 2025 season.
While drivers like Sergio Perez have no idea where they might be going as the 2025 season approaches, drivers like Hulkenberg have many options opening up for them only now. Although his entry in F1 did not allow him to test out and find a more competitive team to show off his talents and skills.
🚨 | Nico Hulkenberg is widely linked to a 2025 Sauber move.
Mutual interest was confirmed earlier this season.

Up until now, the LeMans winner has only mentioned having tested out for Ferrari but never getting a chance to drive for the team because of how tall he was. Although it could have been the perfect team for him to proceed to have a great F1 career, it seems not all has been lost.
After Sauber showed interest in having the German drive for them, it is now confirmed that the interest is mutual with Hulkenberg being interested in joining them as a driver. Apart from Sauber, he has also had a keen interest in Audi’s entry into F1.
Nico Hulkenberg beats Kevin Magnussen as a newcomer at Haas
While it can be tough to compete with a car that was developed to be non-competitive and fall back in the championship, Hulkenberg proved only he can do the unthinkable. Although Kevin Magnussen has been a part of Haas for a good amount of time, he has failed to get the team what they deserve while a rookie Schumacher crashed into everything and nothing all at once.
14: Nico Hulkenberg
Considering the car he was given, nico did a genuinely good job. qualifying P2 in a haas??? very impressive, plus he properly beat kmag despite being the newer driver. deserves a better car imo

Nonetheless, the German showcased his quality as a driver and his credibility has not faded away, in fact he just started to warm up after he brought Haas a P2 qualification at the Canadian GP with a Haas and a hungry Max Verstappen in an RB19 right ahead of him.
