The entire motorsport community is in mourning as we lose another talented athlete in an accident. Carles Falcon lost his life due to injuries sustained during an accident that occurred while racing in the Dakar Rally.
The Dakar Rally is an annual event where rally drivers and riders from all around the world participate in a 14-day rally race covering over 3000 miles. There are a total of 8 categories of vehicles taking part in this event; Car, Bike, Quad, Challenger, SSV, Truck, M1000, and Classic. Carles participated in the Dakar Rally in the Bike category.
Who is Carles Falcon?
Carles was one among 778 competitors to compete in the Dakar Rally. He has spent his entire life following his passion for off-road bike riding. He drove and worked for the TwinTrail Racing team. Apart from racing in several off-road events, he also used to teach off-road bike riding to intermediates looking to become professional riders. The Spanish rider took part in the Dakar Rally in 2022 as well. However, he did finish the race that time.
Is Carles Falcon married?
There is not much information given about Carles Falcon as he was not very popular in the world. However, from what we can say from his Instagram posts, he does not seem to be married. His social media posts are filled with him enjoying his passion for off-roading and only pictures of him smiling.

“Carles was a smiling, always active person, who enjoyed with passion everything he did, especially motorcycles. He’s left us doing something that was his dream, running the Dakar. He was enjoying he was happy on the bike. We must remember him for his smile and for the happiness he created in everyone.”
Even if Carles was not married, he will be forever remembered by his friends, family, and fans from all over the world. He will always hold a legacy in motorsport. After all, he was one of the few to finish the Dakar Rally in 2022.
What happened to Carles Falcon at Dakar?
Carlos Falcon completed the first stage of the Dakar Rally without any incidents. This was a positive sign for him and the team. On the second day (January 7th), everything was going well, until he suffered an accident on the final few stretches of the second stage.
After the accident, Carles was found unconscious and without a pulse. The doctors on site were able to revive the 45-year-old man. He was immediately taken to the hospital where he was placed in a medically induced coma. On January 12th, Carles was transported to his home country, Spain on a medical flight. When he arrived at the hospital, he was taken to the ICU where he remained in Critical condition.

On January 15th, the TwinTrain Racing Team confirmed that Carles Falcon lost his life due to injuries sustained during the accident at the Dakar Rally. The team stated that the rider suffered neurological damage due to the cardiovascular attack he had when the accident occurred. Unfortunately, he was not able to recover from this.
We can take solace in the fact that he did something that he loved until the end. Racing in the Dakar Rally is a dream for most drivers and riders all around the world. Falcon made this dream come true for him and enjoyed doing so. He will always be remembered as one of the most cheerful riders in motorsport.
