SUMMARY
- Ferrari breaks tradition with blue livery for Miami GP, honoring its 70-year US presence.
- The unique blue hue evokes memories of Ferrari's championship win in 1964 and pays homage to Alberto Ascari.
In a bold move that breaks from a decades-long tradition, Ferrari will be ditching its signature red for a special blue livery at the upcoming Miami Grand Prix. This one-off design choice serves as a tribute to the Italian team and their 70-year presence in the United States, marking a significant milestone in their relationship with the American market.
Ferrari has stepped outside their signature red color palette once. Notably, they won championships in 1964 despite their temporary switch to a white and blue livery for the last two races of the season. It is interesting to note that John Surtees became the only Scuderia driver to win the championship in a non-red vehicle that year, solidifying his spot in racing history.
Ferrari introduces blue accent to iconic red car for Miami GP
The brand-new livery will be an abrupt contrast to the recognizable Rosso Corsa red that has been painted on Ferrari vehicles and has grown to symbolize its racing history. Instead, it will have a combination of two blue hues: Azzurro Dino and Azzurro La Plata. This unique blue livery acts as a link between its bright future and its glorious past.

In memory of the late Ferrari driver Alberto Ascari, who won back-to-back world championships in 1952 and 1953 while competing in a blue racing suit and helmet, the lighter Azzurro La Plata recalls the colors of the flag of Argentina. The Miami Grand Prix livery, set to be unveiled in Florida ahead of the race, is more than just a color change.
The lengthy history and ongoing presence in the American market are being celebrated over the next week. To celebrate their culture in the US and enhance the bond between the famed Italian company and its ardent American fan base, fanatics are invited to a wide range of events and activities. By hinting at the ongoing innovation and success that the Scuderia is likely to achieve in the years to come.
Ferrari set to unveil Hewlett-Packard as title sponsor
With Hewlett-Packard or HP as a new title sponsor, Scuderia Ferrari is getting ready to win big. In light of a possibly costly 2025 season, this massive agreement will provide the team with a much-needed financial boost. The substantial money from the HP sponsorship will go to Ferrari with Lewis Hamilton on board next year.

A few months back, when Prancing Horse announced their partnership with Peroni, it was a soft launch for Hamilton as fans noticed the hint that was given out. With Red Bull and Oracle already holding the largest title sponsorship in Formula 1, it is anticipated that the value of this sponsorship setup would be alike. The deal reflects a rising interest on the part of HP in obtaining prominent sports sponsorships.
They sponsored the Real Madrid football teams’ sleeves for the first time earlier this year. Like Real Madrid’s purchase, the Ferrari operations will likely seek to incorporate HP technology, taking advantage of the status of the sport as a tech brand showcase. However, they previously sponsored Williams Racing from 2000 to 2005 and even had a stint with Sauber.
