Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has mastered the art of racing at the mere age of 26 years and spectators and pundits assume that he is going to set some unattainable records and break all the existing ones like he did at the Italian Grand Prix this year in the near future.
Even the most seasoned drivers of all time, such as Sebastian Vettel and Sir Jackie Stewart applauded the driver for his accomplishments which is not ordinary.
Verstappen was recently called “greatest sports star of all time” in his home country of Netherlands. Astonishingly, he was not pleased by the title he was labeled with.
According to the Dutchman, “Everyone was amazing in their own right, in their own sport. I’m just happy and I’m proud that I’m Dutch. I don’t even want to win it. Because it’s about just appreciating all the talent we have as a country. We should just celebrate all the success that we have as a country” as reported by GPblog.

Max further added, “That’s why I find it such a ridiculous prize all the time. I’m just saying that I find it unfair for some people who are putting so much effort in their sport and they achieve incredible results. And sometimes they don’t get awarded for it because of this silly, stupid prize for one particular person.” Verstappen is on his way to win his third world championship in the Qatar Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton reacts to the recent form of Max Verstappen
The dominance that Red Bull and Verstappen hold over Formula 1 since the commencement of the 2023 season is absolutely magnificent. But, for obvious reasons, their rivals are not pleased by this, Mercedes in particular.
Even quite recently, the Silver Arrows team principal, Toto Wolff claimed that the Austrian outfit designs the car that fits well for Max. However, this comment did not go down well in the grid.
Lewis Hamilton praises Max Verstappen:
“Max has been faultless and no-one can take that away from him. He has done an amazing job with the package he has.”

But the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, despite his prejudices against Red Bull and Verstappen acknowledged the efforts he put into this season.
He said, “Max has been faultless and no one can take that away from him. He has done an amazing job with the package he has. They’ve raised the bar.” Hamilton agreed on the fact that the team has done a “phenomenal job” this season.
Despite losing his eighth championship win at the controversial Abu Dhabi Grand Prix of 2021 to Max Verstappen, it seems like Lewis is giving up on their mutual rivalry.
At present, Mercedes, Aston Martin, and McLaren are fighting their way into P2 at the Constructors Championship after Red Bull nabbed their second consecutive win at the Japanese Grand Prix.
