Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc joined Lewis Hamilton on the podium after the Sprint race. The Sprint race at the US Grand Prix ended with Hamilton getting a P2. He will also have an advantage for the Sunday race since he will be starting P3. However, with Leclerc on pole and Verstappen doing an incredible job this season, Hamilton showered both the drivers with high praise.
Lewis Hamilton was asked what he thought about the two drivers who have been challenging him and each other this season. To that he only had good things to say.
He said, “It was really great to be just at the front with these guys there, they’re incredibly talented and both still have such bright futures ahead of them. To be out there racing against strong drivers like this is what every driver dreams of.” The driver has congratulated Max Verstappen before too for a great season.

However, on the race tracks he sees the drivers as rivals that he needs to beat. Although Leclerc and Verstappen have done a great job this season, he has goals of his own in the sport. With two more years with Mercedes in hand and a good development in the car recently, he has plans to make those wishes come true. Nonetheless, the Monegasque and the Dutchman were both grateful for the praises of the seven-time champion.
Lewis Hamilton analyses RB19’s weaknesses during the Sprint race
Lewis Hamilton got a good start for his Sprint race this weekend. After tailing Max Verstappen closely for a long time, the driver decided to look for anything that could help him with his race on Sunday.
While Verstappen did what he has this entire season, being 9 seconds ahead of Hamilton and pulling away slowly, Hamilton analyzed his car and driving. Meanwhile, Mercedes seemed to have figured out what wasn’t working as they made a great comeback.
Lewis Hamilton was asked about what he analyzed and observed in the RB19. However, the star knew not to reveal anything.
He just smiled and looked away while giving a vague response. He mentioned he would be giving the information to his team which will be taken into consideration. Although Red Bull has already wrapped up their season, Mercedes has been adamant about at least sticking to the P2 spot.

As for Sir Hamilton, the champion has come very close to Sergio Perez in the standings. This can leave Red Bull stressed considering Christian Horner’s wish to finish the season with the first-ever 1-2. The Brit, on the other hand, has now caught up to the second driver. And with everything going right for the Mercedes team and their new floor, can Lewis Hamilton dethrone Perez to take the spot?
