Verstappen’s championship victory against Sir Lewis Hamilton was something that left everyone surprised. However, this also brought all eyes to his model girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, and his father-in-law, Nelson Piquet.
Many viewers who have been around the sport for a while have heard the name Nelson Piquet. Although not in a good light, he has had eyes all on him as he made racist comments towards Lewis Hamilton.
That said, the ex-driver has also been known as one of the sport’s legends. Piquet joins the top-tier list of Niki Lauda, Ayrton Senna, and many more after becoming a three-time champion of the world.

Although hailed by many, he has also received a lot of hate including his family and Verstappen’s girlfriend and Nelson’s daughter, Kelly Piquet over racist behaviour.
Nelson Piquet was also banned from the sport after his comments and the “We Race as One” movement was started in the sport. However, many still mention his name alongside many greats of the sport who made their name and buzz in the sport.
Max Verstappen equals his championship wins with Nelson Piquet
Max Verstappen recently pulled the unthinkable. The driver won his third championship title at Saturday’s Sprint Race after finishing runner-up. Verstappen pulled off an incredible year for himself.
From winning 10 consecutive races to winning his third title before the Sunday race. He has also garnered many fans along the way. The Dutchman could be seen hugging his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet after his win.
After a long battle to be on the top, the driver gave Red Bull their untimely and ultimate victory. With that, he also equaled his score with his father-in-law, Nelson Piquet. Not as hard as it seemed for the Dutchman, he pulled off the greatest dominance that anyone has witnessed in the sport.
Alongside his incredible drive, Verstappen did what many couldn’t. The Red Bull star was soaring almost half a minute ahead as he clinched his victories at every race.

After Sergio Perez‘s crash, it seemed like the inevitable was finally being brought to justice. Verstappen, although unable to get past a rookie Piastri, was only driving towards the championship title. With his third title, it seems he has wished to continue winning titles. As the rush and thrill take over him, he seems more prepared to continue his dominance in the sport.
