Max Verstappen is almost indestructible at the moment, showing immense resilience against rivals and effortlessly racing his way to victories. And where has it led to? The Dutchman could well secure his third consecutive world championship title with over five races to spare. Such has been the dominance of Verstappen with his Red Bull unit.
Unfortunately, in Formula 1, glory comes with a tinge of hate. While the Dutch fans are over the moon, there are certain fanbases visibly frustrated with Verstappen’s persistent authority over the entire grid. The likes of Lewis Hamilton and others initially demanded the FIA make tweaks to end Red Bull’s high-flying run of form.
Meanwhile, several fans have been calling out the one-sided affair in F1, and demanding wanting a more competitive field. But, amidst such sound opinions from the fandom, Verstappen isn’t just going to be a bystander and instead going to take on such suggestion-makers. In fact, the two-time world champion had a soul-crushing opinion about such accusers.
Verstappen reckoned that people who oppose dominant phases in F1 are anything but true fans of motorsport. He further pointed out that it isn’t necessarily new to F1, as prior to Verstappen, there were dominant phases led by Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Michael Schumacher, and many others.
Max Verstappen takes on F1 fans in fascinating war of words
Amidst echoing voices of frustrated fans wanting the end of Verstappen’s reign, Verstappen himself didn’t seem pleased about such comments and decided to attack such fans. The Red Bull driver opined that he wants to shut down such criticism by achieving more victories in the coming months.

“I don’t think about what is good for F1, I don’t think it was necessarily bad, what was happening, we were just better than everyone else,” Verstappen said according to RacingNews365.
“If people can’t appreciate that, you are not a real fan, but this is how it goes. This is why I was super relaxed about it. We didn’t perform and other people did a better job than us and deserved to win. They shouldn’t win because people say it’s boring that we are winning.”
Overall, Verstappen is in no mood to take his foot off the gas and is seemingly happy to carry on with the splendid form. Hence, amidst such a glorious stint with Red Bull, can Verstappen go on to win more world championship titles in the coming years?
