The 3.3-mile circuit will last for 57 laps covering a total of 191.5 miles in around 90 minutes. The circuit goes around the famous Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, which is the home of the Miami Dolphins Football team.
Miami Grand Prix schedule and time
The Miami Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on 7th May for the 2023 season. It will take place right after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, making it a doubleheader.
This will be a normal Race Weekend as opposed to the Sprint Weekend we recently had in Azerbaijan. FP1 will take place at 14:30 EST, followed by FP2 at 18:00 EST on the same day. Saturday’s FP3 will take place at 12:30 EST and Qualifying at 16:00 EST. The lights out on Sunday will be at 15:30 EST. The race will approximately be for 90 minutes so we can expect it to get over at around 17:00 EST.
Where to watch the Miami GP?
If you are staying in the United States, you can watch the F1 weekend on the ESPN channel. The sessions are also streamed on the much preferred F1 TV. F1 TV will provide you with multiple feeds and onboard cameras for each driver. So if you are a Hamilton fan, you can choose to ride on board with the 7-time Champion for the weekend.
What to look out for in the Miami GP?
The conclusion of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix placed Sergio Perez just 6 points behind his teammate Max Verstappen. So the battle between the Red Bull will be one to look out for in the coming races.
Sergio Perez is now 33 years old. So if the Mexican is planning to win a championship before retiring, now is the time. It is unlikely that he would have a long career in Formula 1 without winning a Championship.
The battle between Alonso and Hamilton is also one to look out for. Alonso is currently leading the rivalry by 12 points. Although Mercedes is able to beat Aston Martin in Qualifying, Aston Martin seems to have a greater race pace than Mercedes.

Although Ferrari had a good performance in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, they are still in 4th place in the constructor’s championship. Mercedes is ahead of them by 14 points, while Aston Martin’s impressive start has put them in 2nd place with 87 points which is 25 points ahead of Ferrari. Ferrari still has a long way to go in terms of points.

The weather for the Miami Grand Prix is set to be sunny at the moment. However, there is a 10% chance of rain during the qualifying and again another 10% towards the end of the race. If the rain does come, it could make things interesting for the drivers and teams, and provide some good quality entertainment for the fans.
The low-scoring battle for 5th place could prove to be tight going to Miami. McLaren currently holds 5th place with a total of 14 points, followed by Alpine with 8 points, Haas with 7 points, and Alfa Romeo with 6 points. This battle could go on till the last race of the season.
The Miami Grand Prix is the home race of the Rookie driver at Williams, Logan Sargeant. We have 2 other rookies this season. Oscar Piastri scored the first points of his Formula 1 career in his home race in Melbourne. Will Logan Sargeant be able to do the same for himself at Miami?
So far Red Bull Racing has won all the races in the season. Can Ferrari, Mercedes, or Aston Martin put an end to this streak? Don’t miss the Miami Grand Prix this weekend if you want to find out.
Last but not least, we can expect another star-studded paddock during the Grand Prix on Sunday. The Grand Prix races in the United States are always a bit more glamorous than the others. Last year during the Miami Grand Prix we saw stars such as Dwayne Wade, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, David Beckham, and much more. It will be exciting to see which stars show up in the coming weekend.
