Earlier in April, rumors were linking Fernando Alonso and Taylor Swift to be in a relationship. Both celebrities were coming off a breakup at the time. Although we have not gotten a definite answer from either of them, Daniel Ricciardo has given his opinion on the matter.

Daniel Ricciardo was on the Formula 1 grid from 2011 to 2022. After the 2022 season, McLaren decided to buy him out of his contract due to his poor performance with the team. During his 11-year tenure in Formula 1, he has gotten to know a lot of drivers who are currently racing on the grid, including Fernando Alonso.
In a recent interview, Daniel Ricciardo was asked what he thinks about the dating rumors between Fernando Alonso and Taylor Swift.

When Daniel Ricciardo was asked which Formula 1 driver is most likely to date Fernando Alonso, he replied:
“Definitely not Alonso! I called BS on that from the start! And I hope I wasn’t the only one. So let’s just clear that one up!”
He then said that “Someone who is into the arts,” is more likely to date Taylor Swift. As expected, Ricciardo went on to name Charles Leclerc as he had just released his music. His 2 new singles named AUS23 (1:1) and MIA23 (2:1) were impressively high on the iTunes chart worldwide.

He was also reminded that Nyck de Vries also plays the piano.
Ricciardo replied: “Really? They have got a starting chance, for sure. Anyone who appreciates the arts! But certainly not Aston Martin driver Alonso.”
“Alonso? He appreciates racing. Only racing,” Ricciardo said. “Anytime I see him do anything, it’s just racing! I quickly canceled him out of the conversation.”
Apparently, Daniel Ricciardo did not waste time believing the rumors linking Fernando Alonso and Taylor Swift, given their interests and schedules. Taylor Swift is currently on her eras tour across the United States. Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso is heading to Imola to start the European triple-header.
