Valtteri Bottas is a Finnish driver for Alfa Romeo. He drives alongside Zhou Guanyu, his Chinese teammate. He first started his career in Formula 1 with the Williams team. After being assigned as the test driver for Williams in 2010, he finally had his breakthrough in 2013. Valtteri went on to drive for the team in 2013. After three years of being with Williams, he found himself with a promotion to Mercedes.
As a Mercedes driver, Bottas was a teammate to Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton who went on to win seven World Championships with Mercedes, seemed to leave not much room for Valtteri Bottas. However, they share a great friendship and a very close bond with one another.
While his time at Mercedes, he won 10 races and 58 podiums. However, Bottas soon said his goodbyes to the team as his contract ended in 2021. He was then replaced by George Russell at Mercedes while he accepted an offer from Alfa Romeo.
He started driving for Alfa Romeo in 2022 alongside Zhou. This would be his first time since Mercedes, driving in a non-competitive car. In his first season with Alfa Romeo, he managed to get the car to earn some points and finished the Championship with 49 points. This season, his personal best has only been in 8th place.
