Francis Ngannou and Dana White

Francis Ngannou, the heavyweight champion is fighting his last contract fight at UFC 270. Ngannou said that he is taking this fight because of personal reasons and to complete the contract. Unable to come in terms with Dana White, he is ready to bid goodbye to the UFC. The heavyweight champion wants his contract renewal to have clause that are favourable to his demands.

Ngannou believes that he hasn’t been treated well so far. He further adds that he is worth more than a five hundred or six hundred thousand dollars fight.

The heavyweight champion has shown some serious interest in a boxing match against the WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. The “Gypsy King” has even responded positively towards a potential fight with some interesting rules.

Regardless of where Francis Ngannou fights, he wants his promoters to allow him to be able to box as well. Sharing his thoughts further he expresses that he would be more than happy to continue with the UFC provided they support and promote his boxing interest, just as they did during McGregor vs Mayweather boxing fight. Ngannou stated:

“We’ve been having this discussion for a year. Seems like they are okay with it. I still believe that whatever you are doing when the UFC is involved it’s just gonna make it bigger. So yes If I wanna box I would like UFC to be involved. At this point, I don’t know what they think.”

The Notorious’s bout against the undefeated Floyd “Money” Mayweather split the world into two halves. The fight fans had never experienced anything of this magnitude. A top athlete representing  a whole different combat sport to take on the best fighter in the sport of boxing. Dana White, showed massive support to the Irishman and promoted him to represent the UFC community in the sport of boxing. The fight generated 4.3 million domestic pay-per-view buys (2nd largest all-time) and more than $600 million in total revenue.
