Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic and the NBA World Pays Tribute to Kobe Bryant on His Birthday

Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest Laker of all time. This superstar is loved and looked up to by anyone who picks up a basketball. Kobe Bryant was killed in a tragic helicopter accident in 2020. The accident also took the life of his daughter, Gigi Bryant.

Kobe has achieved a lot during his time in the NBA. He is a five-time NBA champion, a two-time NBA finals MVP, one-time NBA MVP, and an 18-time NBA All-Star. Bryant also holds the record for most points in a game by a Laker with 81 points. The 23rd of August marks the birthday of this great basketball star. Bryant would have turned 43 years old today. The NBA world did not hold back from honoring the star.

The clock struck 12 and birthday tributes started pouring out. NBA Twitter was buzzing with nothing but birthday wishes for the late great Kobe. Many NBA stars took to social media to remember one of  the greatest Lakers of all time

Recently crowned NBA champion, Giannis Antetokounmpo took to Twitter to wish the Mamba. Giannis was one of the first to complete the Kobe challenge and prove he has the Mamba Mentality locked in.

 Bryant’s former teammate, Pau Gasol also took to Twitter to tell his brother he missed him. Gasol honored Kobe with a beautiful throwback picture.

Veteran star, Carmelo Anthony has played against and alongside Bryant for many years. Melo took to social media to post a picture of a moment where Kobe and he were hugging after a game.

Dwayne Wade reposted the heartwarming tribute video posted by NBA on TNT.  D-wade wrote a caption that read Mamba Forever Happy Birthday Big Bro.

Luka Doncic wished the NBA superstar with a video of the time Kobe and his daughter Gigi went to watch Doncic play. The moment was super adorable and emotional to think of especially now. Jayson Tatum is yet another talented young NBA star that has looked up to the Mamba. Tatum took to Twitter to re-post a wonderful video posted by the official NBA website.

Kobe was one of the most inspirational basketball players. Bryant was known for always pushing people and himself to do better. He was looked up for his strength, passion, determination, and love for the game of basketball.
