Conor McGregor took to Twitter following Jose Aldo’s dominant outing against Pedro Munhoz at UFC 265. The former two-weight champion praised Jose Aldo in what was an incredible performance from the former featherweight champion who looked absolute class in his unanimous decision win at UFC 265.
Stepping inside the Octagon in his fourth bantamweight bout, Jose Aldo showed great skill, incredible speed, and combination that reminded everybody of the vintage Aldo as he dominated Munhoz to further cement his position in the new weight class. With the win, he is not on a two-fight winning streak, coming off an back to back win over Marlon Vera and Pedro Munhoz.

Conor McGregor called Jose Aldo “a real legend” following the victory in the co-main event of UFC 264. However, his tweet did not go unnoticed by his arch-nemesis and Dominance MMA CEO Ali Abdelaziz, who chimed in with an insult.
Earlier, Jose Aldo had shown confidence in Conor McGregor and a champion’s mentality after he asked whether McGregor can make a return to the elite level of fighting. McGregor returned the favor as he heaped praise on the former featherweight champion. In the past, McGregor had shown confidence in Aldo ahead of his bantamweight debut, and in the face of severe criticism regarding Aldo’s physique for the 135-pound division, only McGregor had shown confidence in Aldo’s weight cut.
Needless to say, now, Aldo looks much more comfortable at the new weight class and has only gotten better with time. Boxing analyst Teddy Atlas compared him to fine wine, which only gets better with age, and rightfully so.
What’s next for Jose Aldo after the incredible win over Pedro Munhoz?
Jose Aldo could be looking at facing either Rob Font or Cory Sandhagen in his next fight to once again get his name in the title contention. After losing to Petr Yan, Aldo has bounced back stronger than ever, and it’s safe to say his next fight is definite to put him in the title contention. Jose Aldo is 34 right now, and it doesn’t look like he is slowing anytime soon.
Who do you think Jose Aldo should face next?
