Anthony Edwards opined that he could score against Team USA’s ping-pong team

Steph Curry was the one who instigated this interaction. Video footage revealed that the Warriors star addressed Anthony Edwards and told him that a group of young women from the Team USA ping-pong squad could defeat him 21-0.

Upon hearing this, Edwards expressed his disbelief and made it clear that he was very confident in his own ability to score a single point in ping-pong. Since Ant is quite an exceptional athlete himself, one shouldn’t be too quick to call him out for his confidence. However, that is exactly what the NBA world did after watching this video.

While confidence is quite a charismatic trait, overconfidence is frowned upon and viewed negatively. Although Anthony Edwards may be a phenomenal talent on the NBA court, it is nearly impossible for him to think that he could score against pros from a completely different sport.
