SUMMARY
- Triple H interacted with the media after WWE Backlash for a press conference.
- During the interaction, The Game talked about Drew Gulak's WWE exit, and also Ronda Rousey's accusations against the former NXT star.
WWE and Triple H did a brilliant job at their latest PLE, Backlash France, as the show was one of the best ever editions of the event. After Saturday’s successful night in LDLC Arena, The Game appeared in the post-event press conference to interact with the media representatives.
During the conference, Hunter was asked questions about a variety of topics, and he also had to address the recent reports of Drew Gulak’s departure. As the legendary in-ring performer was asked about Gulak and the reports of his release, the CCO confirmed that the news is true and Drew is no longer with the biggest wrestling promotion in the world.
Drew’s exit from the Stamford-based promotion happened just weeks after Ronda Rousey‘s accusations against the NXT Star, and it has led to a variety of speculations about the decision. The Game finally discussed the topic during the conference, and his comments about the issue have grabbed fans attention.
It must be noted that Drew Gulak isn’t the only NXT talent to be released by the Stamford-based promotion, as the company released several superstars. Gable Stevenson, Darrell Mason, Valentina Feroz, Vlad Pavlenko, Ezekiel Balogun, Kiyah Saint, Emma Diaz, Trey Bearhill, Keyshawn Leflore, and Julian Baldi are the other WWE stars who have been released by the organization.
What did Triple H say about Drew Gulak’s WWE release?
Drew Gulak faced a lot of online backlash after Ronda’s allegations against him, and Triple H was asked if that incident was the reason behind the 37-year-old’s departure. While confirming that the news of Drew’s exit is true, The Game hinted that it had nothing to do with Rousey’s accusations, as he stated that it wasn’t even a release.
Hunter said, “We release talent all the time. NFL releases four to five hundred people a year. We release talent all the time. It’s part of what we do. You can’t just hire people, bring them in, keep hiring more people and just keep bringing them in. An unfortunate part of the job is talent gets released. Can I say he was released? He was not released. His contract was just not renewed.” (Via: X)

Through these comments, Triple H has probably made it clear that Gulak’s stint with the company ended due to other reasons, and what Ronda said about Drew Gulak has nothing to do with this. As the NXT star hasn’t yet responded to his sudden exit, it remains to be seen what he has to say about the end of his run with the Stamford-based promotion.
Ronda Rousey isn’t the only WWE star to accuse Drew Gulak
Triple H’s comments about Drew’s exit during the Backlash press conference have grabbed fans’ attention, as he hinted that it was due to Ronda’s allegations. But, now, it has come to light that Ronda Rousey isn’t the only one to accuse Drew Gulak. As per the reports, several NXT talents have accused the former WWE star of being a bully.
It has been claimed that Gulak often targeted his opponent’s injuries during matches, mainly with talent that was recovering from minor injuries. In a major claim against the 37-year-old, one talent from the company’s developmental territory stated that the veteran once re-dislocated a previously dislocated finger, and that too on purpose.

As claimed by reports, during an NXT taping last year, Drew Gulak was verbally reprimanded by Shawn Michaels. Not just The Heartbreak Kid, but the coaches also scolded him for intentionally spiking an opponent during a match. All such claims have raised questions about Gulak’s WWE release, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
