Brodie Lee aka Luke Harper is a familiar name to the WWE Universe. The star was one of the mainstays in one of WWE’s famous factions, The Wyatt family. He also won the Intercontinental Championship and The WWE Tag Team Championships during his run in the company.
After leaving the WWE in 2019, Brodie joined rival promotion, AEW. He wrestled under the name Mr. Brodie Lee and was revealed as the “Exalted One” of the Dark Order. Lee won the TNT Championship during his time at Tony Khan’s promotion.
Brodie Lee whose real name is John Huber shockingly passed away on December 26th, 2020. He was 41 at the time. The former WWE star was under treatment for a lung-related illness. Huber’s widow Amanda revealed that the cause of death was a rare condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Huber’s passing was a huge loss for the professional wrestling world. Talents from different promotions paid their respects to the star following his sad demise. Huber’s son Brodie was signed by AEW after his father’s death. He became a member of his father’s faction, The Dark Order. Huber and Amanda also have another son named Nolan.

Cody Rhodes before the biggest match of his career at WrestleMania 39, paid respect to Brodie Lee. During his grand entrance, Cody gifted his weight belt to Brodie Jr who was sitting ringside alongside Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes. Michael Cole on commentary revealed that the boy was the son of former WWE star Luke Harper.
Cody Rhodes was the Executive Vice President of the AEW when they acquired the services of Brodie Lee in 2020. The duo also had a feud for the TNT Championship during their AEW run. Rhodes’ tribute to the late star was well-received by fans across the world. Huber’s wife Amanda also put out a heartwarming Tweet after the incident.

Brodie Jr’s AEW contract allows him to start a full-time career as a talent in AEW when he is old enough to step inside the ring if he wishes to do so. Fans hope that Brodie Jr will carry his father’s legacy by becoming a successful professional wrestler in the future.
