Born on October 9, 1967, Eddie was only 19 when he made his professional wrestling debut. Eddie Guerrero left for his heavenly abode on November 13, 2005, leaving the entire wrestling community heartbroken. His nephew, Chavo Guerrero, broke the news of his demise to the world. Eddie was in the bathroom of his room at the Marriott Hotel City Center in Minneapolis. With the toothbrush in his hand, Eddie was “barely clinging to life” when Chavo discovered him.
Upon calling the ambulance, the medical experts declared him dead. While many speculations arose in determining the cause of his death, an autopsy was conducted. It revealed that Eddie Guerrero had acute heart failure due to a persistent atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
This condition arises when the arteries are narrowed, resulting in a lack of blood and oxygen supply to the heart. Being very active in the ring, the requirements of his heart couldn’t be met and eventually, his body gave up. As per Wrestling Observer the Hennepin County (Minneapolis) Medical Examiner’s Office claimed that Guerrero’s anabolic steroid usage history and the narcotic medications was the reason for his death in his death certificate
