The Golden State Warrior’s guard Stephen Curry got himself ejected from the game against the Memphis Grizzlies. It was a frustrating night for the 2x MVP, after getting ejected from the game in the last minute of the fourth quarter. Partly it could be blamed on Jordan Poole, but ultimately it hurt him. This is not the first time Steph has been ejected out of the game for throwing out his mouthpiece.
The Warriors eventually won the game against the Grizzlies at home with a scoreline of 122-120. It was an evenly matched game between the two, however, the Warriors saw the game out. Jordan Poole hit the winning shot, after a play from the offensive baseline by Donte DiVincenzo. Poole finished the game with 21 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds, as well as scoring the last bucket.

Curry was upset after Poole missed a 3-point shot while standing beside him. It was an understandable reaction from 2x MVP, however, the refs thought otherwise. Steph Curry got upset on the call by the refs for his emotions on the court. Curry threw his mouthpiece after the miss from Poole. The Warriors team gathered around the ref to plead that it was not pointed toward anyone.
It was a hotly-contested game and it was a much-needed win for them. The Warriors are the 8th seed in the Western Conference and are tied with the Dallas Mavericks. Stephen Curry ended the game with 34 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds against the Grizzlies.
Stephen Curry now has 3 ejections after the Memphis Grizzlies win
Curry now has 2 ejections in his entire career until now. The ejection against the Grizzlies makes it his 3rd. Steph received the first ejection of his NBA career in the 2016 NBA final in game 6 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. For the same reason, for throwing his mouthpiece, and receiving 6 personal fouls on the night. Curry finished that game with 30 points, and eventually lost the series against the Cavaliers.

Just like last night against the Grizzlies, Curryâs 2nd ejection came against them as well in 2017. Stephen Curry got himself ejected for throwing his mouthpiece in the direction of the official. The referee failed to call a foul on Curry, when he got fouled during a layup, in the same game Kevin Durant also got himself ejected. However, unlike this time, the Warriors 111-101 against the Grizzlies.
