It won’t be wrong to say that a lot of fans would have been disappointed considering the bout is not happening in Britain. It’s ironic how the biggest bout in British boxing history is not going to take place in England despite there being several bouts that happened recently in England with a live audience.
Needless to say, the promotion is receiving huge money, and it’s evident with the whooping fight purse for Joshua and Fury that doesn’t involve the PPV revenue share.
The highly anticipated bout has taken years in the making and has gone through various barricades to finally come on paper. Earlier the bout was in doubt after Deontay Wilder accused Fury of not following the clause he signed to have a trilogy bout after the rematch. Additionally, contract disputes also played a huge part with both Fury and Joshua expressing frustration for not booking the bout.
In what promises to be an exciting match-up, the entire boxing world would be watching as the heavyweight greats step inside the ring to unify the heavyweight gold.
