The new Minecraft Bedrock Update 1.201.12 Patch Notes are here bringing in new changes, tweaks, and many fixes in the game. A point to note here is that this update won’t be available on Nintendo Switch and Amazon Fire tablets.
This update was released to address some issues that were introduced within the 1.20.10 update. Overall, Minecraft Bedrock 1.20.12 only fixed three issues. It resolved an iOS device crash, resource pack crashes when the game is launched, and a common connection issue accompanied by the phrase “abandoned connection closed.”
However fans are unable to download the latest update due to various reasons on different devices, here’s how you can download the latest update on any of these devices:
Windows Computers:
- Launch the Microsoft Store application.
- At the bottom left of the window, select the library tab.
- Select the game from the list of available updates, or click the “Get Updates” button to download any and all software updates installed on the device from the Microsoft Store.
- When the procedure is finished, you should be able to access the game launcher and start Bedrock Edition normally.
Xbox Consoles:
- Hover on the game’s icon in the “My Apps & Games” section.
- Click the “more options” tab, then choose “Updates.”
- This section should include any accessible updates. All that remains is to start the download and open the game after it has finished.
PlayStation Console
- Minecraft should update on its own as long as the console is turned on and in either active or rest mode.
- If it doesn’t update automatically, you may choose the game from your dashboard, hit the settings button, and then select “Check for Updates” to add the most recent update to your download queue.
Android and iOS Devices
- The update can be done by receiving a notification instructing you to go to your app store and update the game.
- The update can be done by using the App Store or Play store and to search for Minecraft, visit its page, and touch the update button.
