Nate Diaz has been advocating for a fight with Dustin Poirier for quite some time now. The former lightweight title challenger has been eyeing a fight with Dustin Poirier ever since his TKO win over Conor McGregor back at UFC 257. However, an immediate rematch between Poirier and McGregor thwarted that possibility.
Be that as it may, with Dustin Poirier once again emerging on top against McGregor in the rematch at UFC 264, Diaz has once again set his eyes on the former interim lightweight champion, and the duo is trading barbs at each other for quite some time now. In an interesting turn of events, even the former dual champion Conor McGregor has now joined in, calling the entire back and forth, “entertaining.”
Hahahahah continue going, I am entertained.

McGregor’s response to Diaz’s tweet came in the wake of the Stockton Slugger trashing Dustin Poirier allegedly turning down the offer to fight him inside the Octagon. In the past, Dustin Poirier was scheduled to fight Dustin Poirier back at UFC 230, however, the match-up did not see the light of the day after Poirier pulled out of the bout due to an injury.
I knew you was a pussy bitch that’s 2-0

Now, according to Nate Diaz, Dustin Poirier has once again pulled out of the bout, with the Stockton Slugger calling it “2-0” over Dustin Poirier.
Can Nate Diaz beat Dustin Poirier?
It’s an exciting match-up and one that is bound to get the attention of fight fans around the world. Both Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier like to put on a show for fight fans. Poirier relies on his ability to finish his opponents with his devastating power, and it will be hard to imagine the kind of impact his striking can make if he moves up to the welterweight division.
Meanwhile, Nate Diaz comes across as an antidote to every finisher inside the Octagon due to his durability that has seen many try and fail in an attempt to get a stoppage win over the Stockton Slugger. Additionally, Diaz’s ability to pull off surprises in the later rounds will remain the talking point in each of his fights.
Dustin Poirier is not someone who looks to win rounds, and that is exactly the kind of fighter that Nate Diaz will be looking at. Diaz, despite being a BJJ black belt, relies heavily on his boxing skills to dominate his opponents. It is an exciting match-up, and there’s every reason to believe that Nate Diaz, due to his fighting style, has what it takes to get a win over Dustin Poirier. However, it will be easier said than done.
