Lex Luger is a huge name in the world of pro wrestling. He has retired from the ring but is still popular among the fans for his time in WCW and WWF/WWE, where he thoroughly entertained them. However, despite everything, it seems he was once blamed by a WWE legend.
Luger was previously in a relationship with Miss Elizabeth. During that, Lex developed a terrible issue of substance abuse, and along with him, Elizabeth also chose the path of self-destruction. Unfortunately, the outcome didn’t go well, as Elizabeth passed away at the age of 42 due to acute toxicity.
Many years later, Luger appeared in a WWE documentary and talked about Elizabeth’s death. WWE legend Eric Bischoff, who was also a part of the documentary, said, “The two had a clandestine relationship, but they were both participating a little too much in the pharmaceutical side of the recreational activities”.
Bischoff said that he was devastated by the death of Miss Elizabeth and felt that Luger took advantage of her. Bischoff blamed Luger for a long period of time.
Eric Bischoff said, “I was devastated, and I was angry as hell at Lex, which is really immature on my part because she made her own decisions and choices — she was an adult woman. I felt that Lex took advantage of her and influenced her and led her down that path. I blamed Lex for a long time”. Thus, it can be understood that Bischoff was extremely furious at Luger after her death.
Lex Luger shed light on the death of Miss Elizabeth
The relationship between Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth caught the attention of many and turned several heads. However, their relationship wasn’t smooth, as it included severe substance abuse issues and reports of domestic violence.
Luger himself stated, “I was making a lot of really bad, selfish decisions at that time in my life. I wouldn’t have admitted it at the time, but things were really going to a dark place and getting out of control in a bad way”.
Unfortunately, the relationship wasn’t long-lasting, as Elizabeth passed away at a very young age. Lex Luger, while appearing in the WWE documentary, commented on the death of his former partner. Lex mentioned that he heated some food for his partner and brought it to her. He then realized that she wasn’t responding to him.
Luger said, “I thought that was strange and said, ‘Hey Liz, wake up, your food’s gonna get cold,’ and she didn’t respond. I knew that was strange. So I got up and tried to shake her and she didn’t respond. I immediately called 911. I was panicked”.
The former pro wrestler then stated that he was “scared to death”. He mentioned that he told 911 that he felt his partner wasn’t breathing. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she was declared dead.
From Luger’s comments on Miss Elizabeth’s death, it can be understood that the famous pro wrestling personality suffered a tragic death. Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that she has left her mark on the hearts of her loved ones with her dedication and hard work. Though she is no longer among us, her stories are still alive among her fans, who will cherish them forever.
